In 1997, John McLaughlin joined Berluti & McLaughlin as a Partner of the firm, bringing with him an established practice representing private closely held and family businesses and their owners. He focuses his practice on advising business owners and helping them to grow their businesses and taking care of their personal legal matters.

Mr. McLaughlin also deals with all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions and estate planning, and has extensive trial experience in civil and criminal litigation, including business disputes, personal injury, and real estate litigation.

Prior to joining Berluti & McLaughlin, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County and as a Partner of Voke & McLaughlin.

Mr. McLaughlin is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. In addition, he is affiliated with the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Massachusetts Conveyancers Association.

Mr. McLaughlin has been published in the Boston Business Journal and Banker & Tradesman.

He received a Juris Doctor cum laude from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Tufts University.

Mr. McLaughlin is a resident of Beverly, Mass.
